Ending Manitoba's Workplace Violence Epidemic
Abstract
Examines the sharp escalation in incidents of workplace violence over the past decade in Manitoba, the failure of employers to meet their mitigation and hazard elimination obligations, and the lack of enforcement by the provincial government. The evidence is drawn from a variety of sectors, including healthcare and education, as well as interviews with 38 workers. Concludes with 10 policy recommendations.
