Abstract

A literary criticism of the book "Reconstruction: American's Unfinished Revolution 1863-1877," by Eric Foner is presented. It outlines the truthfulness of the assertions as well as the implications of the issues raised in the book's discussion regarding capitalism. It also investigates on the existence and conditions of slavery as well as the quality of life maintained by the social elite.
